Welcome to Episode 007 of the podcast. Stay faithful with what you have been given. Leaders always want the next leadership high. When we get focused on what’s next, we find ourselves being unfaithful with where we are at. He arrived at the camp just as the Israelite army was leaving for the battlefield with shouts and battle cries. David was faithful with the responsibility he had before he moved on to greater responsibility. Every leader must be constantly striving to replace themselves. A leader doesn’t advance out of a season of neglect. Be faithful with what God has given you now. David went on to defeat Goliath but not because he neglected his previous responsibilities. If we remain faithful, God will remain faithful. A church that grows in the summer, will explode in the fall. Are you being or are you staying? God’s calling isn’t abusive. If you’re wounding people to get to where you feel called to go, you may want to rethink your motives. Godly leadership fits into a godly timeline. My job is to tend to my responsibilities and rest in God’s timing. We are not going to miss out on what’s best by doing what’s best for where we are at. God’s purpose is bigger than our plans.
