Takeaways for Leaders:
Text from Pastor Josh to Pastor
“Parenting is a series of races we can only run halfway with our kids. We don’t get to cross the finish line with them. We let them finish on their own after we get them started and direct their course. They have to finish with God and we have to wait at the finish line to help direct them and start their next race.”
Some of us stay in the boat far too long and don’t allow our leaders to drive.
We don’t stand at the shoreline and monitor the boat, we go into the house and trust that they can drive the boat themselves.
As leaders, we’re trying to run someone else’s race.
