May 24, 2017

Welcome to Episode 70 of the Joshua Gagnon Leadership Podcast! If you enjoy listening to this podcast and it has helped you and your team in any way, please leave us a review on Apple Podcast or Stitcher or take the time to share it on social media. Today we will be discussing leadership and ministry questions with Pastor Anthony Milas, Lead Pastor of Granite United Church. Takeaways for leaders... There is a big difference between wanting to cast a vision and wanting to echo a vision. Staff should echo the heart of the vision. Do our potentials hires and church planters have a preacher's heart, or do they want to share, care for, and echo a vision? We are not called to see people make professions of faith, we are called to make disciples. Constantly challenge people to take the next step, and make it it so that if they want to take the next step, it is there for them to take. When you’re inviting people into an environment where you see kingdom potential in them and you’re inspiring, honoring, celebrating, and empowering them, people get pumped up for the kingdom of God. We are supposed to be creating a thirst in others to want to know God and do more for God. Investigate: make sure you’re carving out other time to investigate other ministries and ministers. Interrogate: reach out to church leaders. Don’t isolate yourself. Find a community that you can be a part of. How do you run the race well and live a life of integrity in ministry? Extend grace. Keep pursuing your spouse. Make your family part of your ministry. Stay close to the Lord. Have great ministry friends.
